I wish now I would have used a creamier white for the pieced border, to match the text fabric better, but it actually does look closer in real life.
The little deer in the text print reminded me of the little deer in one of my favourite lines from Moda, by Jesse and Lauren Jung, Hideaway. So it is used on the back. Sweet, sweet little deer!
The binding is also a favourite print and colour of mine, from the Silent Cinema line by Jenean Morrison. I also used it in this baby quilt.
I pieced the entire quilt on my machine with my usual Aurifil, and the hand quilting was also done in Aurifil, in a 12 wt. Final dimensions are 31" by 38". And it is for sale in my shop!
Sweet... Sew sweet! Scrumptious is adorable. And I like the white used in the border. Makes it really stand out. Very fine job, Carla. The hand quilting - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet quilt! I just ordered some fabric last week from the Kloth Shop. Maybe I'll have to put in another order for this French one. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my. Don't think I could part with such a pretty quilt--and hand quilted! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery cute little baby quilt! So nice to have it hand quilted for the baby.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Where do I get a patten?
ReplyDeleteNice! It's such a sweet combination of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYes, where do we get the pattern? Your fabric choices were perfect and it is a truly sweet work!
