This little cuddly one is made with scraps of solid Kona cottons that have been building up around here. I love making log cabin blocks and I am rather partial to the courthouse steps variation I've used in this quilt. The sashing is Kona Oyster. The backing is a nice soft red flannel from Riley Blake. I've used my usual Aurifil 50 wt threads for piecing and quilting. The finished dimensions are 33.5" by 37".
This is one of my favorite baby quilts ever! I love your way with color.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love flannel as backing for a quilt, it truly makes a quilt cozy. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely! Makes me want to make another log cabin quilt...... ;)
